So I just spent some quality time with my GYN the other day (my appointment was supposed to be TODAY, my birthday....hellooo, who wants to do THAT on their bday? ewww) They called with the results of my blood work to tell me my iron was a little low. The remedy is simple - take OTC iron supplements and a vitamin. Well. I can't take iron supplements, they make me puke, or feel so bad I wish I could puke. Option B - eat iron rich foods. I can do that. I googled "iron rich foods" and the first list I take a look at has the following foods (along with how many mg/serving, %RDA, whatev)
Cockles boiled 28mg 155%
Black Pudding 20mg 111%
Liver 9mg 50%
Fish Paste 9mg 50%
Faggots 8.3mg 46% .....is anyone else going WTF right about now?!
Kidney 8mg 44%
