Sahale Snacks Review and Giveaway!!

I had the chance to try a variety of Sahale Snacks and I'm delighted to tell you about them, as well as have the opportunity to offer a giveaway!

This landed on my doorstep the other day.

I'm starting to LOVE the UPS and FedEx Men!

My kids were pretty excited too.  We all love snacks, and nuts are a great snack choice. (except for Mr. Terrible Two of course) These, however, are not your average nuts.  These are amazing and unusual snack mixes with a variety of nuts, dried fruits, and spices, with the perfect hint of sweetness to make these delectable snacks to have around. 

The flavors are so unique...your prize pack will contain the same as pictured above:

1  Cashews with Pomegranate & Vanilla (Winner of Shape Magazine's "Best Snack Award" 2009!)
2  Soledad Nut Blend - almonds, flax seed, apples, dates, balsamic vinegar and a dash of cayenne pepper  (Named Best Trail Mix in Men's Health magazine's "125 Best Foods for Men" 2009!)
3  Valdosta Nut Blend - spiced pecans with black pepper, cranberries and orange zest
4  Sing Buri Cashew Nut Blend - cashews glazed with soy sauce and lemongrass, combined with dried pineapple, peanuts, and sesame seed, all dusted with mild Chinese chili
5  Ksar Nut Blend - pistachios and pepitas with figs, honey and a kick of Moroccan harissa

Intrigued? I was! We tore into them immediately, and then I remembered I should take a picture!  My oldest daughter and I proceeded to open them all and give them a try.  I'm not known for my patience.  Needless to say, these snacks didn't last very long! 

The favorite among the kids was the Cashews with Pomegranate & Vanilla.  These are one of the glazed nut varieties.  They have natural sweeteners and are delightfully crunchy!  They tasted like a cookie, but without the guilt :)  I only got a small taste before the girls decided that would be their after-school snack!

My favorite was the Soledad Nut Blend.  They were the perfect blend of sweet and mildly spicy.  However, the Valdosta Nut Blend was also delicious.  (My husband's favorite.)  They reminded me of Christmas, and were excellent on top of my spiced pumpkin oatmeal.

I actually can't say anything bad about any of the varieties.  I love their distinct, unique flavors and was surprised at the perfect balance they managed to achieve between sweet and spicy.  Neither was overbearing, as I said, a perfect balance!  As you can tell, I'm quite the fan of Sahale Snacks.  You can become a fan too!  They are on Facebook and Twitter, where you can also get more information on their other products.  They offer other glazed nut and seasoned nut varieties, like Almonds with Cranberries, Honey and Sea Salt - sweet and salty....how awesome is that?!  Or the Southwest Cashews with Chile + Cheddar, or amazing sounding Biscotti Crisps!
