Easy craft for the kiddies

My daughter's 4th grade class made Christmas ornaments, which they sold, and the money earned was donated to 3 local non-profits in our area.  I thought this was a great project for them, and when she explained how they made the ornaments, I knew we had to give it a try at home.  I already had all the supplies on hand collecting dust in the attic from previous failed craft projects.  All you need are clear Christmas ornaments and some paint!  A diy tutorial can be found here.  Take a little paint, add it to the inside of your ornaments, shake, and voila.
You end up with these very neat little Christmas ornaments!  I thought they turned out so cute.  The girls went a step further and "embellished"  their ornaments with polka dots, peace signs, etc.
All they need now is some cute ribbon tied at the top, and you have gifts or ornaments for your tree.  I like the fact that they did not require a lot of supplies, time and didn't make a huge mess.  (Except for the ornament with was knocked on the floor and shattered.  At least it cleaned up easily!)

So, if you need a little project to keep the kids busy, this is a good one to do!  My kids are so excited they are practically vibrating with extra energy!!  I've got to have lots to keep them busy this week so they don't drive me insane!  Speaking of insane....it's the week of Christmas!!!  I don't know how time goes by soooo fast, but I'm very excited too! Christmas is definitely my favorite time of year!!
