Friday's Fab Finds

It's been a while since I've posted some fab finds - probably because I'm always broke I haven't been shopping as much.  However, thought I would share a few today.

Do you have an Ollie's near you?  It's sort of new around here (just in the last couple of years) and it's like a Big Lots.  I went in there the other day b/c the kids needed sunscreen again (they will use almost an entire spray bottle in one afternoon!) and I remembered seeing some on the cheap the last visit to Ollie's.  (which had around Christmas, need to remember to check there more often)  Anyway, they didn't disappoint...
Name brands - Banana Boat, Hawaiian Tropic (in date!) for 3.99.  Score.  I don't know if you have priced sunscreen lately, and if you haven't, you should be wearing it...skin cancer - that's all I'm going to say on the subject! Anyways....4 bucks is HALF price (or more) for sunscreen.  As you can see, I bought several.  I ended up giving the middle one to my dad b/c it has less chemical sunscreens in it, but still a complete block, for sensitive skin.  Since his chemo/transplant, he has been told to avoid ALL sun exposure. We already need more.  If my kids get skin cancer, it will be from all the sunscreen, not from too much sun.  Of course, it's amazing how tan they are when they cover up completely with sunblock!

I also stumbled upon a few more interesting items/deals....
Apple Balsamic Vinegar Spray...it's yummy and it was super cheap (like 1.79!)
I've been spraying it on everything!
I don't know if you are familiar with this brand, The Mediterranean Snack Food Company, but they have healthier options for chips with wholesome ingredients.  They are hard to find around here and these Cheddar Clouds were so good!  I bought 2 bags, and my kids ate them up.  They are very low in fat, and these were 1.29.  Awesome.

And my new favorite bathroom cleaner - I think this came from Target -
I know, ewww, mildew.  Something no one wants to talk about, or admit to having.  However, I blame it on my water.  Certainly not my lack of housekeeping skillz.  I have never had the cleaning issues that I have now until we moved in this house.  Anywho, not the point.  I have a stone/tile shower and the grout gets icky almost over night.  This stuff is AWE-SOME.  You spray it on, walk away (like, go pee, empty the bathroom trash, whatev...) and in just a few minutes...the grouts all clean!!!  No scrubbing required. Now, is it green?  Is it non-toxic?  I have no idea.  I should probably be more concerned about those features, but for now, it makes my life easier so I'm going with it.  I don't use it in the kids' bathroom however, b/c they have a regular tub/shower and don't have the same issues.  Now, if anyone knows of a self-cleaning toilet cleanser - I'm all for that too.

So, I'm keeping you free of skin cancer, saving you money, keeping you healthy with low fat snack alternatives, and preventing back problems while saving you time with cleaning tips....what more could you possibly want from a blog post?  Less sarcasm?!  Well, there is that....

Happy Friday y'all!  I've been a pickle makin' fool this week...post soon on the results!

Need some food ideas for the 4th?  Check out yesterday's post!
