I know, another sponsored post beauty product. Where's the food? Where's the chocolate? It's coming back, pinkie swear. It's just that I have had several opportunities recently to try new products, and I just can't pass them up! I have been especially excited to try these new beauty products on my not-getting-any-younger skin. You have probably heard about this new Olay Total Effects 7. Not only does it look pretty cool in the bottle, it fights 7 signs of aging:
- Fine lines and wrinkles: reduces the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles
- Uneven Tone: balances and helps even out tone
- Age Spots: reduces appearance of discoloration
- Gentle Exfoliation: Improves surface cell turnover
- Dryness: provides nourishing moisturization
- Moisture Barrier: strengthens skin’s natural defense against moisture loss
- Luminosity: recaptures youthful luminosity
Awesome right?! AA (anti-aging) + BB (beauty balm) = CC (color and correction). Cute huh :-)
One little problem for me however. Remember how I said I have super sensitive skin and can't use a lot of products? Well, unfortunately, this is one of them. I tried it for a few days, and it caused havoc on my skin. I'm pretty sure it is because of the sunscreen. I haven't found a product yet that I can wear daily that contains sunscreen. Bummer. However, most people do not have my weird skin and sensitivity issues, so if you can wear Olay or products with sunscreen, I would give it a try. It goes on really smooth, has a tint to it, and moisturizes. It has a slightly dewy feel when it first goes on, but not in a bad way, in a refreshing "ah, my face is getting hydrated" way. I liked the way it felt, and looked, and was disappointed that it didn't work for me. (I've given it to my mom, so after she uses for a little while, I will let you know how she liked it if interested. She doesn't share my skin issues.) I will say, you can smell the sunscreen. This doesn't bother me, I actually like the smell of sunscreen, but maybe not everyone does. I live near the beach, so in a few weeks, everywhere I go will smell like sunscreen! I really wish I could wear a product like this that contains a broad spectrum SPF. I know my skin needs it. (Guess I will be adding to my hat collection.)
(Olay Total Effects CC Cream can be found at Wal-Mart!)
The Olay Total Effects information and product gift pack I received to facilitate my review have been provided by Olay. All opinions are my own.
I think you may have solve my own mystery of why the Garnier BB cream makes eye water....the sunscreen! I try to wear sunscreen every day, but it always seems to end up in my eyes! Loving your reviews...so I don't have to "try" it myself.
