Sweet Treats for the 4th

Yesterday I posted a few salad options (the Apple Snicker Bar Salad should probably go in this list instead!) and today I wanted to put together a few dessert options, since dessert is my favorite food group :-)

You can't go wrong with chocolate! This bark also has pretzels, and I am a sucker for the sweet and salty combo. You can find the easy recipe here.

Boston Cream Poke Cake - always a crowd pleaser! And hey, you could always add some colorful sprinkles on top.

This is not your average strawberry shortcake...it has sweetened condensed milk and cream cheese, along with angel food cake. Add some blueberries, and you'll be looking very patriotic!

Need something low in sugar and carbs? Try this Low Sugar, Low Carb Chocolate Eclair Cake. Or you can make the full sugar version...either way, it's soooo good!

Want something to sit out for the kids? You could make this Snack Mix with red, white and blue M's...maybe add in some dried blueberries too. Snack mixes are always a hit around here, for children and adults!

For several super cute and festive treats, check out my holiday Pinterest board...so many things I want to make!

  1. I seriously need to make that poke cake. Pretty sure I meant to make it ages ago and never did. I'm gonna get on that ASAP :)
