General Mills "Big G Hotwheels" Prize Pack Giveaway!

My kids were elated.  All their favorite cereals, all at one time, theirs for the taking!  I buy Cheerios on a regular basis, but the others...not so often. Those I buy for occasional snacks and treats. Only because I have been trying to encourage them to eat more fiber and protein at breakfast.  And, if I were to buy these all the time, that's all I they would eat.  However, I've also been trying to teach my kids about moderation, and not make foods "off limits", b/c that just makes them all that more appealing! They have been working on their "healthy choices" and learning about the food groups, so Number One paired her favorite cereal (Lucky Charms) with a small cup of yogurt for extra protein! I was very impressed with all she's learning! And I have to admit, Cinnamon Toast Crunch is pretty darn yummy.  It satisfies a sweet tooth without adding a lot of fat and calories.  Needless to say, it didn't last long! 

They couldn't wait to open the boxes!  You can see, Mr. Two is eyeing the Cookie Crisp!

These make a great snack mix too! I made mine by adding a cup of Cookie Crisp, Cheerios, Reese's Puffs, pretzels, Goldfish crackers and mixed nuts. (I would have added some dried fruit, but I was out!)  The kids loved this as a snack.  For Mr. Two - who is allergic to nuts - I made a separate mix omiting the Reese's and mixed nuts (and pretzels, b/c he doesn't like them. Mr. Picky should be his name.)

 General Mills, Hotwheels, and My Blog Spark teamed up to provide this giveaway.  Yep, HOTWHEELS!Each specially marked box contains a pullback racer Hotwheels car and a code for an online racing game!  So you know my kids were over the moon.  Mr. Two loves cars, (and already loves video games!) and what kid doesn't love pulling a prize out of the cereal box?!  I remember how cool that was when I was little.  It's still pretty fun.  I can also remember my little brother 'zooming' around with his Hotwheels, using everything in the house as his "race track"!  My son loves for his sisters to pull back on the cars and when they let go, they 'zoom' all by themselves!  He squeals everytime!
