Yes, you read that right, with NETGEAR's AT&T Unite mobile WIFI...you can have a hotspot whenever and wherever you want! I know a lot of you are in the same position as I am - you are constantly on the go, shuttling kids back and forth between home and school, school and sports, etc. All that back and forth also means a lot of waiting. I am waiting in the car line after school (b/c if you get there too late you are parked out in the street somewhere, and have to wait forever to get your kid); I am waiting during *insert sport* practice for them to finish up; I am waiting b/c one has a volleyball game at 6 while the other doesn't have a game until 7:30 and live to far to go home and come back; I'm waiting while at dentist/doctors appointments...I think you get the drift. So, with all this downtime, wouldn't it be nice to ALWAYS be able to work on the iPad, or maybe catch up on blogging/email/work/photo editing or paying bills on the laptop?
Whatever your electronic needs are...you can always have a hotspot with this little device! Think about not only our needs, but the needs of our kids. Rarely am I waiting alone...it's usually with 1 or 2 of my other children. With NETGEAR's AT&T Mobile, you can hook up to 10 WiFi devices, with up to 10 hours of battery life. Keep them entertained (which would mean no whining!) while waiting. Or even get one completing homework, while another is doing whatever their activity is. I can't tell you how many times I've heard "I can't finish that until I get home, it has to be done on the computer". Always being 'plugged in' would eliminate having to wait until back at home. The device is also set up to so that the WiFi network details and data usage are on the homescreen; it allows you to block/unblock specific WiFi devices directly from the Unite, and you can even set up a 'guest option' so that if a friend wants to use the hotspot, you have the ability to create a second WiFi network for one-time users.
I'm not real techno savvy, so I can't tell you all the ends and outs of this, but from what I've learned, it is pretty awesome. No more "I don't have a signal" excuses! Being 'plugged in' is a part of life now for most of us, and that's just the way it is. Personally, I want to have online access wherever I am!
