The school supplies, shoes, bookbags and lunch bags have been purchased, and your kids are back-to-school. If you're like me, you've been pinning lunch and snack ideas, and stocking the fridge and pantry with a variety of things the kids can easily carry to school. But what about your freezer? Is your freezer back-to-school ready?!
These whole grain waffles are easy to whisk together and prepare, and can be frozen, allowing for everyone to have a hot, wholesome breakfast in the time it takes to make a piece of toast or pour a bowl of cereal. Check out my post over at Eat at Home today for the recipe and topping ideas!
What are some other freezer friendly meals? I need to get mine stocked with breakfast and dinner options since my nights are filled with volleyball right now.
From my experience, pancakes, waffles and muffins all freeze well. I usually reheat pancakes in the microwave (about 1 minute to 1 minute 15 seconds for a stack of 3 on a microwave safe plate). I prefer to reheat waffles in the toaster so they get crisp on the outside, and I like to heat muffins up in the oven, but sometimes use the microwave if I'm in a rush.
In going through the blog, it's obvious that we really love pancakes and muffins! Here's a little list if you want to start stocking your freezer too! (Many of these are egg free or easily modified to be made with or without.)

I love that you can freeze these! So often I don't make fun breakfasts because two of us aren't going to eat six or eight waffles at once! Freezing is definitely the solution.
