My only complaint with this is it has A LOT of dried cranberries. So, I decided I would spruce it up a little.
I added honey almond granola, dried blueberries, and extra dark chocolate chips.
Because mo'chocolate is mo'betta.
Honey Almond Granola slightly adapted from What Megan's Making (a Quaker Oats recipe)
1/2 cup slivered almonds *I omitted since they were already included in the mix.
1/2 cup honey
4 Tbsp unsalted butter, melted
1 tsp vanilla
1/2 tsp cinnamon
1/4 tsp salt
dried fruit *omitted b/c already in the mix
Pre-heat oven to 350. Spray a 15x10 jelly roll pan with nonstick spray. Combine the oats and
Verdict? YUM!! I've made this twice already and we love it. Unfortunately I used a different granola recipe the second time, and it wasn't as good. I will keep experiementing until I feel like I have the 'perfect' granola! This is awesome as a topping for yogurt too!

We don't have that at our Wally World yet. I love sprucing up my own trail mix, too. I think I always have too much chocolate, but you're right...Mo' Chocolate is Mo' Better!

I haven't seen that yet either. My kids would love to snack on your version, though I would go with a milk chocolate version for myself. :)
ReplyDeleteI thought this was right up my alley. I love craisins so it's perfect for me. Man, I was so bummed. I went to WM to find this trail mix and my store didn't have it. :( Hopefully we'll get it soon.
