Blue Sky Scrubs

In my former life, I was a nurse.  (Once a nurse, always a nurse)  Do you know one thing I really miss about those days?  SCRUBS!  If you have never worn scrubs, you probably think I'm batty, but seriously... they are comfortable, easy to match up, easy to care for (think wash and go), and you don't have to give thought to 'what am I going to wear today?'.  Scrubs, the perfect everyday attire.  If it wouldn't look completely weird for me to wear them now, in my current profession of Domestic Goddess and Blogging Diva, I'd totally wear them.  (But how strange would it be to have scrubs on and someone say 'did you just get off work' or 'where are you working?' and you respond...."uhhh, well, I'm not currently working.  I just like to wear scrubs.")

For those of you that ARE in a profession that makes it socially acceptable to wear scrubs everyday, you should check out http://www.blueskyscrubs.com!  They have everything from dental hygiene scrubs to mens, womens and even scrubs for children!  (I think kids look adorable in scrubs.)  They also have discount scrub sets.  So, pop on over and check them out!  By the way, it's that time of year.....and scrubs make a great Christmas present!

  1. Oh I miss my SCRUBS! I haven't worn them since my last day of work at UCSD hospital in 2005, a few weeks before I had my first daughter. Mine were worn in just right too so they were always so soft. Hmmmm, thinking I need to find the box their in and dig them out...lol

  2. I couldn't agree more! I LOVE scrubs! The social worker at my clinic is like, "You should wear professional attire. It looks better." She's clearly missing the boat. I don't dry clean, iron, or plan ahead. I'm also always comfortable and wearing gym shoes. Well, not always...but I wear scrubs and tennis shoes 75% of the time when I'm at the unit. If I'm teaching, I wear jeans dressed up or business casual. :) Great post, this made me smile!
